A Thankful SEM Firm

I am thankful for my health, my family, my friends, my SEM Firm, and our clients.  It is amazing how challenging things have become in most industries due to the mortgage meltdown, the bank blowup, and the financial freefall we hear about every day.  Thankfully online marketing and search engine marketing are holding pretty strong.  It is nice when you can see a bit of sunshine even though there are rain clouds all around.

Some of our clients are expanding their online efforts more than ever to have us squeeze as many opportunities out of their marketplace as possible, while others are looking at their campaigns slightly more closely to make sure we are making every penny count.  Tough times are actually on of the best times to really go after new customers and market share.  These are the times that businesses do better or worse than normal.  Are you one of the smart ones that make good choices and thrives instead of just trying to survive?

These are good times to look at our lives personal and professional and look at what really counts.  I have heard story after story about people making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in the last several years when times were good, but those same people are barely hanging on. 

It is important in these times to stay aware of the trends.  Due to the tough economic times people are changing the spending habits including their spending habits online.  People are taking more of their time to find the right deal and some are actually shifting their budget toward online spending because they can skip sales tax and many merchants are offering free shipping to entice shoppers to buy.
